Hello.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

I'm Melanie (I'm on the left in that pic).  I'm a photographer.  I was in second grade when my parents bought me my first camera.  The pictures printed on its film were 126mm and square - just like my style.

Happily, I have learned a lot since then.  I love taking pictures of life - as it is happening.  While I think that there is a place for posed 'everyone look at the camera' pictures (and we'll do some of those at each session), I think for the most part, life is too short to stand on the 'x' and say cheese.  I hope to capture memories for you... not just pictures.

My life, when I'm not wearing my photographer hat, consists of being mom to the two smartest and most amazing girls you'll ever meet and wife to the most incredible and supportive husband.  I'm lucky beyond measure.

I know that you have a story just like that and I'd love to capture it for you.

You can trust me with it.  I've come a long way since the 126mm days.  :)
